The weight of a male cat can reach 8-10 kg (17.5-22 lbs), while female cats weigh on average 5-6 kg (11-13 lbs). According to the standard, the body weight should not be less than 3.5 kg (7.5 lbs). On average, the life expectancy of a Siberian cat is 11-18+ years.

You will need to comb them periodically (once a week), shorten their claws (once a month), give them a full bath (once every six months (depends on the cats colour)) and wash their paws when they get dirty. Be sure to purchase a scratcher for them. It is necessary to keep the animal’s ears clean. Its important to wipe around the eyes with a lint-free cotton cloth as discharge occurs. Siberians open ears should be cleaned once a month using cotton swabs soaked in a special liquid or oil. Only the visible surface of the auricle ( Don't go to deep) should be cleaned. You can brush cats’ teeth using a special toothpaste and toothbrush.

Siberian cat are often considered one of the most hypoallergenic cat breeds. while no cat is entirely free of allergens, Siberian produce relatively low levels of allergens. That can trigger allergic reaction. An allergy to cats does not depend on the breed of your pet or the length of its fur. Even completely hairless cats can cause severe allergy attacks. People don't react to "fur" but to a specific type of protein found in the cats seliva. Siberian cats are believed to produce less Fel d1 compared to many other cat breeds. Small amounts of Fel d1 can still sometimes cause allergies.
